- Nanomaterial interfaces in biology.

- Natural soft nanoparticles (e.g. extracellular vesicles).

- Nanomechanical and optical biosensors

2013-2015: Key Scientist RCPE (Res. Cent. Pharm. Eng., Graz) 2005-2015:Assistant Professor of Chemistry University of Brescia.

2015- present: Associate Professor of Chemistry University of Brescia.

2000: Young scientist award (in research equipment) by Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Brescia.

2001: Young scientist award (in research equipment) by Brescia University.

2002: European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) young scientist award for research in micro- and nanocomposites.

2005: "Angelo Sandro Vezzoli" award (by Informatica Delta, Sethlans Spa.). Best Ph.D. thesis in nanoscience.
