1996: Degree in Chemistry, at the University of Florence (107/110). Thesis title: "Calcium hydroxide suspensions. Applications in the conservation of Cultural Heritage". Advisor: Prof. L. Dei (University of Florence), co-advisor: Prof. E. Ferroni.

2000: PhD in in Science for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Florence. Title: "Application of NMR tomography to the study of the structure and physico-chemical properties of stone materials used in Cultural Heritage” Advisor: Prof. P. Baglioni (University of Florence).

2006-present: Researcher at the Dept. of Chemistry of the University of Florence.
