1997: PhD in Physics, University of Milan. PhD Thesis: "Small angle static light scattering from thin samples: multiple scattering and chromatic decorrelation of speckle patterns". Advisor: Prof. M. Giglio.

1997-99: Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. Supervisor: Prof. D. Weitz.

1999-2000: ATER (temporary Assistant Professor), Faculté des Sciences at University Montpellier 2 and Groupe de Dynamique des Phases Condensées (GDPC), UMR 5581 UM2 & CNRS.
