2008: MSc Degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florence. Thesis on Anammox process applied for the treatment of leachate and municipal digestate.

2008-2009: Researcher at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Florence.

2009-2013: Researcher at the Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Delft University of Technology.

2012: PhD degree in Methods and Technologies for Environmental Monitoring at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Florence and Department of University of Basilicata.
